Announcing – WyeFall – 16th March 2013

We will soon be holding a couple of tournaments. We are calling this event WyeFall.

This will take place on 16th March 2013.

This will include a Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Tournament as well as a Dreadball Tournament.

See the WyeFall page for more details.

We represent the MiniCon guild!

On Sunday (27th January 2013) we will be at the Gloucester MiniCon 2013.

We will demoing Infinity and Magic: the Gathering to anyone who wants to learn the basics of these games.

There will be lots of other clubs and retailers there so if you can make it to the Gloucester area then give it a go. They also have a painting competition so that might be worth a go as last year’s winner got a shed-load of prizes (actual prize level may take up less room than a shed).

KR Multicase

If you haven’t heard of these guys where have you been? Simply the finest miniatures cases money can buy, they come in a range of sizes and styles. The foam is easily tailored to fit whatever models you want to put in there either using the pick and pluck variety or by ordering one of the many pre-cut layouts available for a wide range of systems and armies. Take a look below at the PHR case for the upcoming Drop Zone Commander game.

The KR slogan is Soft foam for figures, hard cases for soft foam. This is carried through as the foam is soft, protects your miniatures and won’t damage that pain-staking paintjob you spent hours on. They can also take a pounding but there are videos on the KR website that testify to this, watch them, they’re worth it.

We have a range of KR cases in the auction and the prize pool.

So hopefully you’ve seen all this and want to be a part of the day, use the button below to buy your ticket and we look forward to seeing you in July.

SATURDAY 14TH JULY 2012

Ax Faction

Paul Billinghurst, founder of Ax Faction says his goal is to produce high quality 32mm resin models with brash styling and provocative design, utilising the leading artists and craftsmen of their field, to bring to life these fabled fighters of Dragon spankers, Saucy heretics and Dungeon delvers.

I think they’re doing a great job of this and can testify to the detail and quality in the castings. The miniatures are a joy to paint and a real challenge to do them justice. Just take a look at Victorian Darling, Kraken Hunter and judge for yourself.

Model Display Products

Model Display Products are here to provide our customers with a wide variety of display plinths and bases which can be used to customise your miniatures/models for display, table top war gaming or to help you win that all important trophy in the painting competition.

I am a huge fan of these bases and use them for several armies across many systems. The castings are good quality and they paint up really nicely.

Once again thank you to Ax Faction and Model Display Products for their kind donations.

So hopefully you’ve seen all this and want to be a part of the day, use the button below to buy your ticket and we look forward to seeing you in July.

Dystopian Wars Demo Night – Friday 25th May

I’m pleased to announce the guys from Square Orange Games ( http://squareorangegames.co.uk ) will be joining us on Friday 25th May to run some more demo games.

They are running demos of Dystopian Wars by Spartan Games but will be bringing some other games as well.

Imagine a world similar to our own, but subtly different. Now imagine the year is 1870 and the Industrial Revolution occurred decades earlier than in our own world. Technology is far advanced, and in many cases, unrecognisable, which has led to the development of fantastic naval vessels, hulking land ships and terror from the skies in the form of airships and war balloons.

The Dystopian Wars game is set in a Victorian Steampunk world and we have designed the rules to ensure a fun game with a large selection of high quality models in a couple of hours. The rules support Naval, Aerial and Land models from the outset, so that you can set up battles and scenarios in any combat setting.

For more information see http://www.spartangames.co.uk/games/dystopian-wars

Bushido and Infinity Demo Night – 9th March 2012

Square Orange Games http://squareorangegames.co.uk/

Infinity http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/

Bushido http://www.bushido-thegame.com/
